Sharing Photos

Part of being a FreeBiker is to share fun photos on social media in return for your FreeBike lease. We believe in quality over quantity and therefore only require one post per month. To keep it fun and unique, we prepare different themes every month, and if you post an extra cool photo you might get forever “immortalized” on our FreeBike Hall of Fame. The photos are the only mandatory part of being a FreeBiker, but by uploading cool photos you help the community and increase the chance that more FreeBikes can be provided to your fellow students in the future.

Build Your Resume

FreeBike Project is a great way to work on marketing campaigns that can help enhance your resume. While you are riding your FreeBike and sharing photos on social media, you play a key role in the growth of national marketing campaigns. By the end of the school year, you will have been part of campaigns for major brands, start-ups and non-profits. For example, many of our FreeBikers rode for North Face, Lyft and American Heart Association, just to name a few. Also, depending on the level of commitment and enthusiasm showcased in your posts, we may write recommendations when possible.

Our Mission

To improve the mobility in rural communities of developing countries, we have partnered with the non-profit Bikes For The World to help send bikes overseas. In doing so we help families gain access to water, food and education. Since the launch of our partnership, we have sent 100+ bikes to Philippine high school students who live in remote villages, miles from the nearest school.

A Bike A Week

We believe that everybody should be empowered to be social conscience of the world around us. With our ‘social media for social good campaign’ everyone can make a difference. If you see a FreeBike, simply upload a photo of the bike to Instagram and include the hashtag #bikesfortheworld. You will automatically be eligible to have a bike donated in your name. 4 winners are selected every month!
